The Journal

Orientations is the East Asian Studies Journal run by students in McGill’s EAS department. As put by the journal members themselves, the title of "Orientations" brings to mind the ways in which we perceive and orient ourselves to East Asia, whether through academic approaches, popular media, or personal experiences. This notion of orientation speaks, above all, to our attempts, personal and universal, to grapple with culture and identity.

As the East Asian Studies Student Journal of McGill, we value the creation of discourse through academic and visual work on the current and historical workings of East Asian culture, politics and society.
